Surveys help us understand the opinions and suggestions of targeted customers. We can also use them to collect specific data instead of relying on external tools like Google Forms. This means we have an in-house tool that allows us to create Surveys and control every aspect of them. We will now learn how to build them step by step.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Survey:

From the Dashboard, click on Utilities in the menu.

Navigate to Surveys.

To create a new survey, click on New Survey.

Enter all required details, such as:

Survey Title: The name of your survey.

Description: This text will appear on the survey webpage and in the email subject line sent to target customers.

If you want customers to be redirected to a specific website after completing the survey, add the link in the Survey Redirect URL field. Leave it blank if no redirection is needed.

Click Save. A Create Questions button will appear on the right side, allowing you to add different types of questions (e.g., multiple choice, open text).

After adding questions, preview how the survey will appear to customers by clicking the eye icon at the top-right corner.

Once finalized, go to Send Survey to select recipients.

Choose your target audience and click Send. The system will automatically send the survey via email to all selected customers using their pre-registered email addresses (added when they were onboarded as customers).
Adding Custom Mailing Lists for External Contacts:
You can also create custom mailing lists for customers who may not already exist in the system. Here’s how:

While creating or editing a survey, locate the Mail Lists section (accessible from the same interface where you build surveys).

Click the Mail Lists button.

Select New Mail List.

Assign a name to your mailing list (e.g., "External Clients Q4 2023").

Click Save. The new custom mailing list will now appear in your list.

To add email addresses:

Click on the name of the newly created mailing list.

Manually input customer emails or other contact types or Imoprt Them (e.g., partners, leads) into the provided fields.

Once saved, these mailing lists can be selected when sending surveys to target specific groups outside your system’s existing customer database.
